Care Groups
Praying, sharing, caring for each other and living out our faith together.
Does anyone truly have it all together?
Instead of pretending or trying too hard, what if we recognise our deep longing and need to be with God in a way that offers hope, help and healing?
What if we can create space to share our warts, worries and wounds with each other, and invite Jesus to transform us?
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2: 1-5
Connect and find home
In a care group, we pray and hope that we can embrace Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life and find belonging within the Carmel family.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Proverbs 3:5-10
As children of the King of kings, we believe that we are not meant to run this race alone. Convicted that we are saved by the blood of Christ, we gather around God’s Word to hear His voice and to spur one another toward love and good deeds. We trust in God’s transformative power in our lives as we journey and care for one another.
Join a care group to connect with God and others to encourage and support one another to love God and love people.

Sharing our challenges and crises, as well as our joys and laughter, we encourage each other to grow in our relationship with Jesus. Food and fun is definitely a feature! As the Lord leads, a care group may also serve together in the church in various ministries like church camp, hospitality, Alpha, etc.
