At this Contemplative Prayer & Praise Evening, we will reflect on four words Jesus said at His Last Supper when He took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to his disciples.
To be taken, to be blessed, to be broken, to be given— author Henri Nouwen said, is a summary of the life of the beloved Son of God, Jesus, who was taken, blessed by God, broken on the cross, and given to the world. It is also a summary of our lives too, because like Jesus, we are the beloved of God.
